POSITION SUMMARY: The New Project Organization will be deploying NuScale Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Technology.  In support of the project execution, the Project Contracts Manager at NuScale Power provides comprehensive procurement and contract management support throughout the lifecycle of engineering, design, fabrication, and construction contracts. This role is designed to handle complex OEM agreements, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and other contractual obligations for advanced nuclear technology. the 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Contract Lifecycle Management: Represent the New Projects Organization for functions such as drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing a wide range of agreements, including MSAs, OEM supplier agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, licensing agreements, and purchase orders.
  2. Negotiation & Liaison: Acts as the New Projects Organization representative to support supply chain and commercial team, to its internal departments, and external suppliers (as needed), negotiating terms with supplier attorneys or purchasing staff to reach consensus.  Acts as the New Projects Organization expert for purposes of providing redlined recommendations of various types of contracts/agreements.
  3. Risk & Compliance: Represent the New Projects Organization and Coordinates with Legal and Finance departments to minimize risk, ensuring compliance with nuclear standards (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, NQA-1) and Department of Energy (DOE) regulations (10 CFR Part 810).
  4. Contract Administration: Maintains records, manages changes, and handles closeouts, extensions, or renewals of agreements to support the New Projects Organization.
  5. Makes recommendations on contract matters to Project Managers or other operational staff as well as to members of the NuScale Leadership team.
  6. Ensures contract closeout, extension, or renewal.
  7. Monitors competitive terms. Monitors satisfaction with our terms and conditions and contracting practices. Recommends changes.
  8. Implements strategic initiatives and contracting processes to align with NuScale's company goals and objectives.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: A minimum of B.S. or B.A. in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or related field required. Masters degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in procurement and contract management in the nuclear or similar industry required.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits: 

The target pay range for this position is $124,400 - $150,138 annually.  The full pay range is $111,531 - $174,446 annually.
